From the Desk of the President - October 2016
In November 2015 at the SCBO annual meeting held at Jersey Baptist, a 50-50 SCBO CP funding committee was appointed to study the possibility of bringing a recommendation to the mission council in July 2016 concerning a new ministry funding ratio. As you are aware, the committee unanimously recommended to the July Mission Council that this be done beginning immediately with the 2017 annual budget. I am thrilled to share with you that the mission council voted unanimously to approve this recommendation. Therefore, the final vote of approval will come from the elected church messengers attending the SCBO annual meeting on Wednesday, November 2nd at FBC Vandalia. Please make plans to attend this historic meeting and take part in this historic decision. My prayer is this vote will serve as a catalyst for a movement of God in our SCBO churches to reach the lost in Ohio and around the world.
During the month of August we began announcing the ministry partners coming to lead us at the 2016 Pastors’ Conference (PC) on Tuesday, November 1st. In case you missed those announcements, I am excited to share our PC line-up:

In addition, I want to personally invite you to attend a special NAMB sponsored Pastor Appreciation Luncheon at the Pastors’ Conference honoring your service to our Lord! The meal begins at noon and is free but registration is REQUIRED. Dr. Ezell will be attending and sharing NAMB ministry information. There will also be free ministry resources for those attending!
Finally, I want to “thank you” for the honor and privilege of serving as your convention president this past year. I have learned much and have enjoyed traveling the state meeting many of you! Great days are ahead for our churches and our convention as we strive together to obey the Great Commission and see sinners saved, disciples made, and lives changed! We are….
